Friends of Old Park School- FOOPS

Mufti day!

We are holding our annual School Fayre in the Autumn Term this year.

FOOPS would like bottles for the tombola to be sent in on Friday 18th May.Your child can wear clothes of their own choice on Friday.

To celebrate the Royal Wedding they could wear red white and blue!

Our annual Sponsored Walk, organised by FOOPS and one of our major fundraising events, takes place on Tuesday 1st May.

Looking forward to the World Cup later this year, pupils are invited to dress in sports wear or football strips if they wish.

We will be walking laps around the school grounds between 10am and 11am and parents/ carers and  are warmly welcomed to accompany us with their children along the way!

Refreshments are provided for all parents, family friends and carers after the event.

FOOPS and Kids Orchard Centre invite you to attend a Parent/ Carer support coffee morning on Tuesday 24th April at Old Park School from 10.00- 11.30.

We hope this will provide an opportunity for you to find out what services are available in Dudley to support children and young people with Special needs. Refreshments will be available.

We look forward to seeing you!

What is FOOPS?

Foops is a group of parents/ carers who meet every Tuesday morning at Old Park School betwen 9.30am and 12 noon.

What we hope to achieve

As a group we organise events to raise additional funds for Old Park School. In organising these events we hope to provide the children with additional opportunities for social interaction and a chance for parents to get together and socialise.

Any money raise by the events we organise goes back to the children. Examples of this are presents for the children at Christmas, donations towards trips and we also contribute and save for the purchase of the much needed and very much used minibuses so that the children can go out and about.

Extra support and a chance to meet other parents

Foops is not just about fundraising and the children. It is also about giving you the opportunity to come into school, meet other parents, get involved or just have coffee and a chat.

Please feel free to come and join us, we look forward to seeing you.

If you would like further information contact Jane Walker (Chairperson) through the school.
