Welcome to Dolphin Class
Dolphin Class is a class of eight pupils (six boys and two girls) and the age ranges from 6 years to 9 years. We have five members of staff - one teacher, one HLTA and three teaching assistants. Dolphin Class is a Key Stage Two Primary class who are mixed years 3, 4 and 5.
We follow the National Curriculum but lessons are personalised to meet the individual’s needs and may also include targets from their Individual Education Plan, speech and language reports, physiotherapy programmes designed to help develop the pupils’ social and emotional skills as well as their individual physiotherapy needs . We also work closely with parents and welcome multi-agency support, working with a range of professionals to meet the complex needs of our pupils.
Dolphin class have lots opportunities to use the pool, the sensory room, soft play and also have opportunities to do Rebound (on the trampoline) twice a week. The pupils particularly enjoy Forest School as it gives them some freedom and space whilst they can safely learn in the outside environment. So far we have enjoyed making shelters and doing some leaf printing.
Dolphin Class pupils are responding well to the class routine and lessons and they are all making their teachers proud. Look at the photographs below to find out more about what we have all been learning.
